The first method is sensitivity analysis, and the second method is an optimizer. Sensitivity analysis involves determining the reflux ratio and tower load based on different positions of the feed plate; is this information available in the software? Also, where can one find the reflux ratio? Which is the optimizer? The question is quite basic; I hope you don’t mind, thank you.
Reply to 1# peixuemei: Define your variables and results in INPUT/CASESTUDY DATA. The variable represents the location of the feed plate; you can set different initial values, ranges, and step sizes. For the results, you can choose the reflux ratio and heat load. After running the simulation, PAGE P-1 will display the results of the CASESTUDY. Based on these results, you can determine the optimal location for the feed plate. I haven’t used the optimizer yet; it is said that it may find the minimum value rather than the true minimal value, so I recommend using sensitivity analysis instead. :)
It’s the Optimizer in the module; during the class, Teacher Lu Enxi suggested using case studies, as the optimizer might arrive at a locally optimal solution

The results calculated by the optimizer are not very accurate; it is recommended to use the reflux ratio from case studies to review the report
