There is a thermostatic trap that contains a disc-shaped component with many pinholes; steam passes through this component before reaching other components, thereby enabling water to be drained. What phenomenon occurs when steam passes through a small hole? Condense into water droplets?

It’s possible, but it’s inside the device. If it is a designed filter, then when the filter gets clogged, the entire drain trap has to be removed
