The crude gasoline coming from the top of the fractionation tower in the catalytic cracking unit has turned light yellow on two occasions (it should be white normally), but after 4 to 8 hours, sampling showed that its color returned to normal. The cause has not been identified yet; I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue. Any advice would be appreciated The following aspects have been ruled out: 1. There were no fluctuations in the operation of the distillation tower, and all process parameters remained within the specified ranges. 2. The distillation range (dry point) of the crude gasoline sample analyzed was satisfactory, with no increase in density observed ; But the gum content in gasoline increases. I wonder if other substances in crude gasoline are responsible for the reaction; could there be other reasons as well? How to judge and analyze?
