Today, my factory carried out the commissioning operation of the ammonia water pump. I don’t yet have a thorough understanding of the techniques involved in this area, so I really hope to learn more about it. My factory uses a configuration of two pumps in operation and one as a backup, so I hope those who are knowledgeable can offer me their support. Thank you all!
Reply to 1# zmlzrh: We have one pump in operation and one as a backup, with the two connected in parallel. When switching pumps, the backup pump has its valve opened to build pressure and release air, while the pump that is currently in operation continues to run until the backup pump is functioning properly, after which the pump that was in operation is gradually shut down. It takes about a minute.

Our plant also has 3 ammonia pumps; to switch the pump, first open the pump’s inlet valve and the pump’s vent valve. Once water starts flowing out, close the vent valve and then turn on the cooling water. Lubricate the 2 pumps by turning them manually, start the standby pump, and once it is operating properly, slowly open the outlet valve to adjust the pressure to the normal level. 3. Close the original pump outlet valve, cut off the power supply, close the pump inlet valve, drain the liquid inside the pump, perform pump rotation, and turn off the cooling water.
