Instrument data management, including equipment registers, technical archives, equipment selection samples, equipment operation and maintenance manuals, etc. The lifecycle of a petrochemical plant lasts over a decade, during which factors such as staff turnover and equipment replacement occur quite frequently; therefore, it is very important to manage instrument-related documentation properly.
Let me also share my thoughts: 1. Regular technical training on instruments is essential; learning about instruments is an endless process, and one must truly understand and master them, rather than staying at the basic level of fixing simple faults; 2. Regular inspections of the instruments must be thorough, and daily maintenance must also be carried out properly, including what was mentioned on the 2nd floor regarding the “three rates and one point”” ; 3. Standardized management of various instrument records ; 4. Standardization of instrument technical specifications ; 5. Humanized management
Standardized management consists of three aspects: management of people, management of instruments and equipment, and the execution of technical work. For people, it is necessary to instill the concept of practical management, provide technical training, and establish reward and punishment systems ; For instrumentation equipment, implement detailed management with the goal of ensuring its safe, reliable, and long-term operation ; Work must be carried out in accordance with rules and regulations, with clear objectives, as well as documents such as instructions and maintenance records.
