The effects of high hotspot temperatures in methanol towers are well known; the hotspot temperature in the Cassali methanol tower is relatively high, with some plants reporting temperatures as high as 280 degrees. I wonder what the hotspot temperature is like in synthesis towers with other structures? I hope everyone will participate actively.
In the synthesis tower at East China University of Science and Technology, the initial hotspot temperature is around 250, with this value being higher than the outlet temperature. As the air pocket pressure increases, there is an upward trend, but the increase is smaller than that of the air pocket temperature.
The catalysts used in Casali are domestic ones; the temperature does not stay above 280°C for long. At the beginning as well, things were not as they might have been imagined. It seems that the Casali tower is not a very good type of tower
