Problems with pipe connections?

There are two instruments in the laboratory that require oxygen; one needs to be connected using M8 threads, while the other requires a 6mm copper fitting. The laboratory has only one gas supply line, with a 14mm valve at its end. What method can be used to supply oxygen to both instruments simultaneously? If I make a three-way connection, with one end welded to the valve, another end welded to a copper fitting, and the third end connected to an M8 thread, will that work?
It can be connected using instrument pipe fittings; do not fabricate the tee yourself – use an 8mm instrument tee and weld a straight pipe that changes the diameter from 8mm to 6mm.
