Removing flanges means that on certain pipelines, two flanges are connected directly to each other; when it is necessary to disconnect the pipeline, the bolts can be unscrewed without having to cut the pipeline
Removable flanges are generally used at equipment interfaces and in pipe racks where there are no detachable fittings over long distances. On some straight pipes in pipe racks, a pair of removable flanges is installed at regular intervals; several pairs of such flanges are also often provided on circular pipes. This is just my personal opinion
