Difference between terminal box and junction box

I would like to ask about the difference between a terminal box and a junction box.
Junction box = a box that does not contain any components installed inside it (i.e., all connections are made using wire nuts or split bolts). Most conductors are long enough to be pulled out of the box; the required length is around 6 inches, as needed by the devices. Terminal box = a box that contains components such as terminal strips. Most conductors are cut to the appropriate length so that they can fit into these terminals, as is the case in a load center. http://forums.mikeholt.com/showthread.php?t=129608
Junction box – generally refers to the on-site primary wiring box; Terminal box – generally refers to the wiring box located between cabinets
