How does your company handle the cold coking water?
After water treatment, it is sent to the cold coke water tank for reuse, hehe
It should all be reused, right? Only water is added; it seems nothing is removed~
The temperature of the water after cooling the coke is relatively high. We usually install deodorization devices on top of the tank to remove hydrogen sulfide and other sulfides from there. Additionally, pumps are used to draw out the hot water; this water is first cooled through air cooling, and then it passes through filters and a coking separator (a device used to separate water from coke powder – I can’t remember its exact name). The coke powder goes to a sedimentation tank, and the water separated from the coke powder can then be sent to the water tank for further use in the cooling process.

The water from the coke tower is sent to the hot water tank, and from there it passes through a pump, an air-cooling fan, an oil remover, and a coke remover before reaching the cold coke water tank. The hot water tank is sealed with nitrogen to prevent substances such as hydrogen sulfide from entering the air
