DeltaV control system controller selection: Is MD Plus the latest model? Are there any other options?
Additional note: Controller VE3006
The latest version is MX, right? MD refers to controllers from before version 10.0 of the DeltaV system; those prior to version 10 cannot use MX and must use MD instead. Controllers from version 10 onward can use either MD or MX. The difference between MDX and MD is that MDX has more powerful processing capabilities, with its memory capacity doubled
In addition to the M-series controllers, you can also choose the latest S-series controllers. It seems that the S-type controller can only be used in versions V11 and later. S-type controllers mainly come with S-type single-point IO cards, but they can also still use the older M-type IO cards.
