There is a large amount of liquid monomer behind the single compressor in our plant, but the temperature behind the compressor is not low (around 55°C), and the pressure there is around 0.52 MPa. Moreover, the alkali discharge tank of the solid-alkali dryer is often clogged; the alkali solution discharged is viscous and solidifies shortly after being released. The alkali discharge tank is heated using 95°C hot circulating water. I hope some expert can provide the reasons and solutions. Thank you.
I have encountered this before; the reason for it was a leak in the drain valve of the water separator in the distillation section, which allowed water to enter through the pipeline connecting the waste alkali tank to the gas holder (a pipeline that is connected to the pipeline leading to the gas holder in front of the machine). Similarly, similar accidents can occur in the solid-state dryer as well. At that time, we lacked experience and thought that the leakage in the water separator wasn’t serious; we believed that the gas would evaporate and go into the gas holder after passing through the waste alkali tank. It turned out we were wrong, which led to a large amount of monomer entering the machine. Fortunately, we acted promptly to address the issue

You’re right; under normal processing conditions, liquid should be present. It is recommended to check the temperature sensing point at the back of the machine and consider raising the temperature there. The issue with solid alkali is excessive moisture in the monomer; it is recommended to discharge it more frequently.
Here’s a suggestion for process improvement: it would be great to place the post-compressor cooler after the distillation unit. The compressed gas can be sent to the distillation unit for cooling, and the condensed monomer can go directly into the storage tank, eliminating the need for manual discharge.
What the poster is referring to is the accumulation of liquid in the rear cooler of the machine. This phenomenon occurs mostly when the flow rate is low and the system is under pressure; liquid can accumulate even without coolant flowing, and it is a common issue that arises when the gas flow velocity is low. You can install a recovery pipe on the drain pipe of the rear cooler and connect it to the wastewater tank at the front of the machine, allowing for manual intermittent removal of the accumulated liquid
Regarding the problems with solid alkali, it is necessary to prevent water from accumulating inside it for long periods of time; please add more water
