My oxygen pipeline is in contact with the steel wires used to support the tall tower. I’m worried that during rainy and thunderous weather in summer, electricity might flow into my oxygen pipeline; would insulation solve this problem? Is there a risk?
Check the design standards for pressure pipelines; they contain detailed instructions. If it has already been installed near a high-voltage tower, then it’s a design issue! ! I think it should be absolutely prohibited. A tall tower functions like a lightning rod; once there’s a thunderstorm, the lightning current will flow down along the rebar in the tower and reach the oxygen pipelines through that rebar, which is extremely dangerous! It is recommended to take action immediately. Moreover, no matter how good the insulation is, this risk still exists; it’s a time-bomb! !
