The sulfur content of the refined gasoline thiols is 20 PPM; it fails both the Dr. test and the copper sheet corrosion test. The S content in the stabilized gasoline is 2.0. Is this due to the properties of the crude oil? The reaction feedstock includes residue oil and other oils with high sulfur content; are there any other methods for purification? ? ? The refining process is operating smoothly (with no fluctuations in flow rates or pressure). The circulation volume for gasoline alkaline washing has reached its maximum value, and all processes such as air injection are functioning properly. . . . . Could everyone give some advice? Based on the data you provided, the sulfur content is not very high; it shouldn’t be sulfur causing the problem. You should wash the gasoline with water in small amounts, and then test the pH of that water to see if alkaline corrosion is responsible for the issue that leads to unacceptable copper corrosion.
