Distillation operation problems

In the operation of a distillation tower, how can temperature fluctuations within the tower be avoided?

However, what I’m experiencing is difficult to explain: with no changes in the conditions of feed, product withdrawal, steam, or circulating water, neither the temperature at the top of the tower nor the temperature in the reactor changes, but the intermediate temperature keeps fluctuating. What’s going on? I would appreciate everyone’s guidance. Thank you!
It may be related to the composition or properties of your raw materials.

Reply 3# jingsan: If it’s a packed tower, it’s possible that the packing has become fouled, resulting in uneven mass and heat transfer between the liquid and gas phases. If it’s a tray tower, there might be a problem with the gas valves
Generally, the temperature in the middle of the tower remains stable; such fluctuations are probably due to the filler not being installed properly in that area or something similar
I don’t know if there is a condenser at the top of the tower; if so, the problem might lie with the condenser
