The basket filters used for transferring PVC slurry tend to clog easily and require frequent cleaning. Do you have any good filter recommendations?

It’s evident that the proportion of impurities in the slurry exceeds the filter’s capacity. Simply increasing the size of the filter to expand its filtering area or switching to another type of filter is clearly not a viable solution. In fact, the main issue lies in the causes of impurity formation in the slurry: 1) Poor dispersion during the initial polymerization stage, resulting in uneven particle formation; 2) Formation of large particles due to collisions between high-energy particles during polymerization; 3) Accumulation of polymers on the reactor walls, leading to the detachment of these polymers and thus the formation of impurities. In short, for some problems, it’s necessary to identify the root cause from a technical perspective in order to address the actual issue :) :victory:.

I hope those with experience can offer some guidance. As mentioned in the first comment, there are indeed issues with the manufacturing process, but they cannot be resolved in a short time; for now, the only option is to improve the filters.
That makes sense; the filter can be made automatic, so there’s no need for manual cleaning, and thus no problem with clogging. The choice of which type of automatic filter to use depends on many parameters. Our company can provide mechanical scraper-type automatic filters, mechanical backwash automatic filters, and bag-type automatic backwash filters. However, the prices are all quite high; if your budget allows, you can give it a try
