Several organic membranes: how can we distinguish them by their appearance?

In our company’s brine filtration process, we mainly use KAI membranes; other types include Zhizhong membranes, Gore membranes, as well as new Gore membranes… Could someone summarize the physical characteristics of each of these membranes? I’m new to this process, and sometimes it’s difficult for me to tell them apart -
There’s no need for such a distinction, right? Different membranes come with packaging and instructions upon arrival, and there are records kept when installing or replacing them. So why not rely on the most reliable information for checking, when it’s possible to use unreliable methods instead? What if the apparent properties of the two membranes are the same? Your approach to work does not comply with the management procedures.
