In principle, magnetic pump seals belong to the category of leak-free pumps, and they can be used in the three conventional sulfur processing units (sulfur handling, amine solution regeneration, and acid water stripping). Please share your valuable experience in using them

I have seen magnetic pumps used when transporting acidic water (the quench water in the SSR process, which is used to wash hydrogenation exhaust gases), water that contains a small amount of hydrogen sulfide. I don’t know about the cost
I would like to ask the original poster: does sulfur tend to crystallize when it is being transported? As far as I know, it seems that magnetic pumps with insulated jackets are required for transporting sulfur
Reply to 5# szhdszhd: Magnetic pumps are used for transporting liquid media containing H2S, and they are applied in the transfer of acidic water and amine-rich liquids. After degassing, liquid sulfur does not require the use of magnetic pumps; I think a long-shaft centrifugal pump with a jacket should work fine. When selecting such a pump, attention must be paid to the material of the shaft sleeve as well as the heating method.
