Recently, more and more people on this forum have been discussing melamine; it seems there are quite a few people working in the melamine production process as well. To facilitate better communication among us, could everyone please sign up? I hope the forum moderator will give points to those who participate. Signature format: Process type of your facility: Production capacity of your facility: Number of years you have been working with triamines: You can share anything else you’re willing to reveal; it’s fine if you’re not willing to.
Let me go first. I’ve just started learning about melamine; I don’t know anything yet, and I have to start from scratch. I hope the experts here can give me some guidance in the future. The process type used in your facility: atmospheric pressure vapor quenching in one step. The production capacity of your facility: 6000. How long have you been working with triamines? 1 year (I wasn’t involved in triamine work before; I’ve only started learning about it now)
Process type of your facility: Atmospheric pressure two-step process. Production capacity of your facility: 5,000 t/a. Length of time you have been working in the field of triamines: 10 years. 9 M S – The atmospheric pressure two-step melamine production process is one of the earliest processes used in China; it consists of a crude processing stage and a refining stage; The roughing section consists of a molten salt furnace, a fluidized bed, an ice machine circulator, and a tower washing station ; The refining section consists of units for dissolution, pressure filtration, crystallization, centrifugation, drying, and packaging. The molten salt furnace uses a 4 t/h steam boiler grate as its base, with a spiral coil installed inside it. The medium used for heat transfer within these coils is a mixture of sodium nitrate, potassium nitrate, and sodium nitrite. At the beginning of operation, the molten salt solidifies in the molten salt tank; it is then dissolved using steam condensate, and subsequently pumped into the furnace’s coils to be heated. After the water content evaporates, molten salt is formed, which serves as the medium for heat transfer in the fluidized bed, thereby raising the temperature of the fluidized bed to 400 degrees. Drying in the refining section is carried out using a pneumatic dryer.

Your experience in working with triamines: 4 years. The atmospheric pressure two-step method for producing melamine is one of the earliest processes used in China; it consists of a crude processing stage and a refining stage; The roughing section consists of a molten salt furnace, a fluidized bed, an ice machine circulator, and a tower washing station ; The refining section consists of units for dissolution, pressure filtration, crystallization, centrifugation, drying, and packaging. Drying in the refining section is carried out using a pneumatic dryer. Later, a professor from Tsinghua University carried out a pilot project at our factory using the atmospheric-pressure one-step process; a solid-phase crystallizer and a filter were added. The plant was in operation intermittently for half a year – its performance was not optimal – but finished products were still produced, though the operation cycle was too short, requiring frequent shutdowns for maintenance. On the one hand, there are technical reasons; on the other hand, the scale of the design for the new equipment is too large (the original facility had a production capacity of 0.3 million tons, while the new equipment is designed to have a capacity of 0.8 million tons. It is said that the owner of my factory wanted 1 million tons, but after much persuasion by the professor, the target was reduced to 0.8 million tons). In the end, nothing was resolved; our factory reverted to its original production process, and the new equipment remains unused there to this day!
