In principle, the amine-rich liquid from the sulfur unit has a relatively low hydrogen sulfide content, and can be used as the amine-poor liquid in the hydrodesulfurization unit, that is, for cascade utilization. Which units have experience in applying this so far, and what kind of problems have arisen during its use? Please share your insights, thank you!
Reply to 1# nxrjb: I’ve recently joined Haichuan and am not sure how to increase the value of this proposal.:) Here are my personal thoughts: The hydrogenation unit could use the amine-rich liquid resulting from sulfur absorption of exhaust gases, which would reduce the overall circulation volume and thus save energy as well as the amount of steam required for regeneration. If there are any successful application examples, please share the specific details as soon as possible
The H2S content in the rich liquid from the sulfur unit is still relatively high; using it as a lean liquid in the hydrogenation unit can lead to the following consequences: 1) Reduced efficiency of desulfurization in the hydrogenation unit, or even complete failure to carry out desulfurization; 2) Increased the overall amine solution circulation volume ; 3) When transporting the rich liquid to the hydrogenation unit using the lean liquid line, flash evaporation of H2S in the rich liquid may occur, corroding the pipes and causing gas blockages. 4) It causes a decline in the quality of the lean liquid in the hydrogenation unit.
There is currently no reliable information available; laboratory analysis and computer simulations are needed to confirm this
