It’s gotten much colder – have you experienced any damage to equipment and pipelines due to freezing? Let’s share it together – how can we do winter labor production well?
Let me start. During the emergency repair of the waste heat boiler last winter, the air preheater was damaged by freezing over overnight; it was replaced again during the maintenance work
We don’t have any here for now; although the temperature has been very low these past few days, around minus ten degrees, it won’t be like that in a few days.
We didn’t have any damage from freezing this year; last year, the water hyacinth circulation pipelines froze, as did the pump. But this year, preventive measures were taken effectively – the pumps were maintained using steam, with the shafts rotated every 2–4 hours, and there was continuous flow of water to keep the water hyacinths in check
Basically, it’s about ensuring proper steam supply and draining what needs to be drained; there’s nothing else really.
