What is the difference between the ratefrac module and the radfrac module? I am using version 7.1, and I don’t see the radfrac module; it seems to be available only in older versions. I need to develop a process for flue gas decarbonization through absorption and stripping. Could anyone provide a reference for such a process? Thank you

Reply to 1# much280 :radfrac- Strict fractional distillation, with precise calculations and design considerations for each column; ordinary distillation, absorption towers, stripping columns, extraction and azeotropic distillation, three-phase distillation, reactive distillation, etc； Ratefrac – a distillation method based on flow rate; it involves precise calculation and design for single and multiple towers. It is based on unbalanced calculations, and does not require considerations related to efficiency or HETPS. It can be applied in distillation towers, absorption towers, stripping towers, reaction systems, heat integration units, and petroleum applications. Ratefrac requires a separate license, and it is available only for users who have special licensing agreements with Aspen Company.
