Thermostable salts are more or less present in amine-based desulfurization systems. It is generally believed that these thermostable salts can cause equipment corrosion, but what exactly is the mechanism by which they induce corrosion? Some sources state that the anions in thermostable salts react with FeS formed on the surface of the equipment, destroying this protective layer and thereby accelerating equipment corrosion. Do you all agree with this view?

Reply to 2# adsl121: The main components of thermostable salts are formate, acetate, sulfate, chloride, thiosulfate, and thiocyanate. Depending on the raw materials used in the treatment process, the proportion of these components in the thermostable salts varies.
