I’ve been working on a paper recently; the diene value of the FCC gasoline feedstock is 0.9 g I/100 g, and its ash content is 6 mg/100 ml. I would like to know whether such levels of dienes have a significant impact on an increase in pressure drop. Please give me your guidance

The increase in pressure drop is related to the impurity content in the feed material; the upper part of the catalyst gets clogged, and during maintenance it is necessary to remove that material and add some fresh catalyst
It mainly depends on the reaction temperature; if the heat exchange temperature exceeds 120 degrees, the dienes will undergo self-polymerization at a rapid rate, forming large molecular substances such as gums and coke, which can cause blockages. The first issue to consider in the process is the pretreatment of the raw materials (pre-hydrogenation of gasoline feedstocks to remove so-called impurities such as dienes)

It’s not that the reaction temperature must not exceed 120 degrees; during the raw material pretreatment process, it should be carried out in a hydrogen-rich environment, which prevents self-polymerization. Self-polymerization occurs in the absence of hydrogen. Another point is that the heat exchange between the raw materials and the reaction distillates should not be too intense; the temperature difference between these two streams should not be large. The heat exchange process should be gradual. This is something I heard from others, for reference only
