I’m looking for a part-time job. Currently, there are two companies: one is a Taiwanese company (found through my own job search), and the other is a private company (recommended by a relative). The Taiwanese company offers a salary of 1600 yuan during the probationary period and 2000 yuan after that; social security contributions are required. The working hours are 6 days a week, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s located far from home, and the role seems to involve working in a laboratory, conducting tests and analyses. The private company offers a salary of 900 yuan per half year, with payment based on output; social security contributions are also required. There’s no time off, and the working hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. It’s located closer to home, and the tasks involve learning about color matching and sample making (in the field of dyeing and finishing). What do you all think? Please give me some advice... Think from my perspective: if it were you, which would you choose? I’m really frustrated right now. I hope someone can give me some guidance :(
Those that are close to home, arranged by family members – they won’t harm you
It depends on your own thoughts. If you don’t want to venture out, start training earlier and choose a place that’s closer to home. After all, safety first.
It’s the same everywhere; it depends on how you treat things.
Go to a Taiwanese company first to broaden your horizons.

Generally speaking, it’s more secure to find something through family connections, but that’s relative – although it’s arranged by family members, it’s not your own home after all. It’s better to communicate more with your family before making a decision. Ultimately, it’s up to you
Go to a Taiwanese company; the management and technology there are likely to be better, which will also be beneficial for you in the future
