Now it is necessary to calculate for two pumps, one in use and one as a backup. The requirements regarding this aspect in the project are rather vague. I would like to ask experts: for a setup with two pumps, what types of operating conditions need to be taken into consideration? Please help list them. :victory:
There are generally three operating conditions. The first is the operating condition of the pipeline downstream of the outlet valves of pump A and pump B; from the outlet valve of pump B to the pump itself, the conditions are normal temperature and pressure. The second operating condition refers to the operational state of the pipes downstream of the outlet valves of pump B and pump A; from the outlet valves of pump A to the pumps themselves, the conditions are normal temperature and pressure. The third option is to have all the export pipelines meet the design specifications; if a hydraulic test is required, then a pressure corresponding to that test shall be applied.
