What is the approximate vocabulary requirement for the Science and Engineering Level B exam?

Dear fellow learners, how many vocabulary words are generally needed to pass the Science and Engineering Category B exam successfully? I have a weak foundation – are there any quick ways to improve my skills?:
I) Vocabulary: The vocabulary and phrases covered in the exam are primarily based on the glossary attached to the syllabus. Candidates applying for different levels are required to have varying amounts of vocabulary knowledge: 1. Those applying for Level A should be familiar with around 6,000 words as well as a certain number of phrases ； 2. Those applying for Level B should be familiar with around 5,000 words and a certain number of phrases ； 3. Candidates applying for Level C should be familiar with around 4,000 words and a certain number of phrases.
Oh my God! 5,000! :L
