Should I work in safety or in process engineering?

It’s been four months now, yet I’m not working in my field of specialization (safety engineering); instead, I’m involved in process work. I really want to work in safety, after all that’s what I studied. So I’m really torn now – should I choose to work in security or in engineering?
If one has the ability and skills, it’s of course better to work in craftsmanship; everyone can handle safety tasks, but they are time-consuming and not particularly rewarding； Only by mastering the skills can one earn a lot of money.
Learn craftsmanship – real, practical skills
The compensation for safety engineers is also quite good these days
Process focuses more on technology, while safety emphasizes management. If starting from the basics, it might be better to work on the process first and then on safety, which will give one more influence when it comes to handling safety matters.
Generally speaking, it’s best to stick to your original major; if you can switch to a role related to manufacturing, that’s great as well, since companies value production above all else.
