How to determine the stress corrosion stress threshold

I have been troubled by stress corrosion lately; it occurs in environments containing chloride ions and wet hydrogen sulfide. But how is this threshold value determined? Does stress corrosion occur as long as these components are present? How severe is the damage caused by it? I’ve looked up some information, but I still can’t find an accurate numerical value, especially regarding the stress threshold – at what level does stress corrosion start to occur? Is there anyone who can help resolve this issue?

It seems there is no specific numerical threshold for this; the two conditions for stress corrosion are stress and corrosion itself. This stress can be caused by the operating pressure, or it can result from welding stresses generated during the manufacturing process. Just like pressure vessels, even though they are at atmospheric pressure, stress corrosion may still occur.
