The effect of the inward-extending fitting on the small openings

As the title suggests, what is the function of the small holes in the inward-extending connector? Is there any information mentioned? Thank you!
It’s probably just for the import of liquid materials, to prevent siphoning.
I don’t think there’s any direct connection. When the calculation of the joint strength is insufficient and no reinforcement rings are used, increasing the overhang length can be employed to satisfy the strength calculation requirements for the joint. I think it’s just a method used by designers to avoid using reinforcement rings while still not increasing the thickness of the fitting~ It’s just my personal opinion, for reference only~
The inward extension of the nozzle enhances its reinforcement of the opening; if it extends inward at the inlet, it prevents liquids from scouring the shell near the nozzle, and such an inward extension makes manufacturing and installation easier. I actually don’t understand what the original poster means by “the function of the inward-extending connector’s small holes”. Haha, what does it mean to create small holes? Where are these holes supposed to be? What does that have to do with the inward-extending fitting? “I don’t understand
