In my opinion, as a pipeline design representative, three months on-site is more than enough! If the time is too short and there are few people and things to interact with, it may be possible that one does not yet fully understand the general process of factory construction, and many things cannot be learned. If it takes too long, you will end up dealing with a lot of repetitive work, which is not very helpful; moreover, many people in the company will forget you exist. A distance will arise between oneself and one’s lover/girlfriend. So if you go to the site, three months is still the best choice!
I’ve always thought this: if you stay on-site for a year or so, then the design is wasted
Reply to 2# superkiller0305: Work has been neglected, and love has faded! I definitely won’t go on business trips anymore; they don’t bring in any money, and they’re full of stress. No one in the company ever cares about anything related to these trips! It’s ridiculous; I’ll never go on a business trip under any circumstances! !
3 months is not short, but it’s not long either. It seems best to follow a project from start to finish; being involved throughout the whole process provides a broad range of experiences and leads to greater gains.
Reply to 4# Hada ZH: Yes, it’s a project in which I was involved from start to finish – I took part in the preliminary design, detailed design, drawing preparation, and on-site work, and it will be completed soon. I feel like I’ve gained a lot!
Many times, it’s not up to one’s own decision as to how long the design should last; sigh
