How to use Aspen PLUS to simulate the distillation process of trichlorosilane? What physical properties should be used?
I’d like to know that too; I hope someone experienced can give me some advice!
Reply to 1# fzy :) According to the literature, some studies use the BWR-LS equation while others use the Willson equation; I’ve tried both and the results weren’t very different. I’ve also tried the NRTL equation, and the difference isn’t that significant. :Q But although these equations can be used for simulation calculations, the binary interaction parameters in them are unknown; in the simulations, these unknown parameters are assumed to be estimated, which results in significant errors compared to the actual values.
