Nitrogen is sufficient; the purpose is to remove water stains and prevent corrosion. Be careful of high temperature difference stress during steam purging

To completely remove the remaining water from the pressure test, nitrogen or compressed air is generally used for purging. After installation on-site, superheated steam is used for purging not to get rid of water, but to meet the cleanliness requirements after equipment installation, as there is a concern that welding slag or debris from the piping system might enter the heat exchanger during installation. At the same time, using superheated steam for cleaning before use can serve as a preheating step.
