Centrifugal pumps with mechanical seals made of fluoroplastic materials are excellent, as they operate stably. Since the medium is very clean and slightly acidic, its performance should be good. If the failure rate during operation is high, it may be a problem with the quality of the equipment.
If the medium is concentrated hydrochloric acid, I recommend using nickel or zirconium pumps; it’s likely that the equipment has rusted and become clogged!
It’s better to use fluoroplastic materials. In some processes, the pure water system is circular, and the water has a weakly acidic nature; therefore, corrosion-resistant materials are required. As long as the head and power of the pump are chosen appropriately, there should be no problems. Our company uses two synthesis furnaces along with one pump, and we’ve never had any issues related to pumps that caused shutdowns or reduced production!
316L stainless steel is used, which provides corrosion resistance and meets hygiene requirements.
Reply to 5# After the rain: We have six synthesis furnaces in total, with five of them having a flow rate of 4 m3/h, one with a flow rate of 7 m3/h, and two three-in-one steam synthesis furnaces. We also have 5 pure water pumps in total.

First, the manufacturing process for this pump is already very mature ; Second, the pump body does not have a mechanical seal, so there is no need to worry about seal leakage ; Thirdly, there is no need to worry about corrosion of the stainless steel pump body by hydrochloric acid mist, as it should be noted that all austenitic stainless steels are not resistant to chloride ion corrosion.
