The system load remains stable, and the operating conditions are such that conversion takes place steadily. The hydrogen-to-carbon ratio in the feed gas, the operating conditions of the synthesis system, the single-pass conversion rate of methanol, the temperature of the synthesized water after cooling, the alcohol content in the recycle gas, the distillation yields…… There are many ways to increase production; strict operations need to be implemented at each stage, optimization efforts should be made, and any leaks or losses must be eliminated
It hit the nail on the head, addressing the core of the issue.
In addition to the above, I believe the quality of coke oven gas is also a major factor. If wet desulfurization is well controlled and the quality of the coke oven gas generated from coking coal blending is good, then, after going through the above processes, high yields should be achievable without any problems
Reply to 4# Fanjiang Daohai: It’s not that simple. There are specific criteria in terms of coking, and they won’t change the coal blending ratio just for methanol’s sake in order to increase the methane content. There’s no way it will happen unless the company’s top management makes a decision on it.
1. The system operates stably, with the methane content in the output gas being ≤0.5%; the hydrogen-to-carbon ratio should be as close as possible to 2.05–2.15; the temperature of the synthesized water after cooling is <35°C; and the yield of methanol, including that obtained through distillation, should be increased. 2. Eliminate leaks and spills. 3. The synthesized purge gas can be reused, for example, as a feed gas in heating furnaces. It is also possible to add a separation system after the vent gas is released, to separate the hydrogen in that gas and send it back to the compression inlet, while the other components are sent to the heating furnace as feed gas.

Maintain stable system load and optimal operating conditions for steady conversion; control the hydrogen-to-carbon ratio in the feed gas, the operating conditions of the synthesis system, the one-pass conversion rate of methanol, the temperature of the synthesized water after cooling, the alcohol content in the recycle gas, and the distillation yield.
