Investigation on desulfurization agents in stripping units

What models of desulfurizers are used in all those acidic water stripping units (referring here to single-tower pressurized stripping units with side-line extracts: acidic gas is extracted from the tower top, while ammonia-rich gas is extracted via side lines; after three stages of fractionation, purification, and desulfurization, it is compressed into gaseous ammonia or cooled into liquid ammonia)? How is the performance, and what is the pressure drop across the bed during use? What is the service life? What are the odor and degree of pulverization during desizing?
What stripping device? Could you describe the process in detail?
JX-1 can be used for about four years if no water gets in it; however, it tends to form clumps once water enters. The pressure drop across the bed isn’t very significant, but it is difficult to deal with during major repairs. Even after being washed 5 times and purged, a strong odor remains.
The CT8-6D desulfurization agent should be replaced every 2 years. It must not come into contact with water, as this will cause it to clog up, making it difficult to remove the agent; moreover, the pressure drop resulting from this is minimal
