By oil turning black, do you mean the oil that has been washed turning black? If so, it means you haven’t processed it properly; if it’s processed correctly, it won’t change color. The oil we produce doesn’t change color even after being stored for a year
Compounds resulting from various strong acid reactions. There are many reasons why oil turns black: 1) The concentration and amount of acid used are incorrect; 2) The oil contains water. It is recommended to dehydrate the oil after distillation. Use fuming sulfuric acid with a concentration of over 95%, and determine the appropriate amount by conducting experiments based on the properties of the oil. In general, the amount of acid should not exceed 5% – more acid is not necessarily better
