Why is the product at the bottom of the tower alkaline after gasoline passes through the desulfurization unit? Some say it is caused by an increase in nitrogen compounds in the oil, which leads to the formation of ammonium salts. But the ammonium salts seem to go out from the top of the tower. I don’t understand. Can someone explain?
What should the level of the liquid in the sedimentation tank be set at? What about the liquid level for pre-alkaline washing? More alkali needs to be added to the sand filter tower; if that doesn’t work, just add a water washing tank!
We use the reaction of hydrogen with thiol to remove sulfur, we don’t use alkalis.
