Hello, esteemed colleagues. The company’s boilers use a water curtain dust removal system, but the water resulting from this process contains a large amount of coal particles. At present, the company employs two-stage sedimentation tanks to allow the water to settle and be reused; however, the sedimentation effect is not satisfactory. Lime is being added to improve this situation. I hope the seniors have some good experiences regarding how to make changes through pool design, so as to facilitate the addition of chemicals, simplify operations, and also make it easier to clean up the sediment at the bottom. Is there any better reagent with a better precipitation effect?

These are all simple systems designed to minimize costs. There are many ways to achieve the effect you described, but the investment required is high

In my opinion: you currently have two stages of sedimentation, and there are still large carbon particles present. I assume you haven’t installed any filtering devices; to save money and effort, you should simply install several filtering units at the outlet of the sedimentation tank (such as screens, chosen based on the size of your carbon particles), with the pore sizes getting smaller progressively. Additionally, it’s necessary to clean the filters regularly. As for the sediment at the bottom of the tanks, you can clean it regularly; for two tanks, just clean one at a time on a rotating basis. If conditions permit, it is best to avoid manual cleaning; your smoke may contain sulfur, and having people down there could pose many safety risks. It is recommended to use excavators or other mechanical devices to ensure the safety of personnel. Of course, if necessary, you can modify the pool and add an automatic slag removal system. The above are personal experiences; please forgive any imperfections.

After that, use lime water to remove sulfur. A water circulation system will suffice for this purpose.
