Does it mean “less than 2 ppm on a CaCO3 basis”?
I think the CaCO3 content is less than 2 ppm.
It should be based on CaCO3, with water hardness of less than 2PPM. You are likely correct; water hardness is divided into carbonate hardness and non-carbonate hardness. Personally, I think that after conversion to Ca2CO4, the concentration is less than 2 ppm
Based on calcium carbonate, the hardness shall not exceed 2PPM
