In the low-temperature methanol washing unit, why is it necessary to strictly control the inlet temperature of the raw coal gas? What are the consequences of poor control?
Poor control has two main disadvantages: 1. The amount of saturated water entering the methanol washing system increases, thereby increasing the dehydration load; 2. The amount of cooling energy required to wash the hair with methanol increases ;
The steam-to-gas ratio affecting the conversion unit makes it difficult to control the bed temperature. Prevent unsaturated water from entering the converter and damaging the catalyst.
The temperature of the raw gas is too high; firstly, this results in a large amount of saturated water vapor being introduced into the low-temperature methanol washing process. As a consequence, the water content in the sprayed methanol increases, which raises the load on the methanol-water separation tower and leads to higher steam consumption. Furthermore, the temperature of the raw gas entering the low-temperature methanol wash is too high, which affects the heat balance in this process and results in a greater amount of external cooling being required. The analysis on the second floor makes sense!
The problem is that too much saturated water was introduced, diluting the methanol concentration; dehydration is necessary, and a large amount of refrigerant is required to absorb this heat
Reply to 5# yfjin2010: So the function of the upstream cooling conversion is to lower the temperature of the raw coal gas, and to adjust the ratio of various components in it? ?
Reply to 6# mqxchzhi: I don’t understand what you mean Could you explain it more clearly? Thank you! In this way, everyone can solve it
Reply to 7# yfjin2010: Our process utilizes the Lurgi technology. The upstream stage of the low-temperature methanol washing process is shift cooling, followed by the low-temperature methanol washing itself. What consequences can occur if the temperature of the raw gas entering the low-temperature methanol washing stage is too high or too low?
If the temperature of the raw coal gas is high, it will increase the cooling load in the pre-treatment stage of low-temperature methanol washing, and it will also affect the efficiency of the methanol washing process! ! ! ! 1
What should be done with the ammonia from the upstream section that enters the methanol wash unit?
Ammonia can accumulate in the low-temperature washing system, and this issue can be resolved by periodically discharging it from the top of the regeneration tower
