When using an air-puff type gauge to measure the liquid level in a tank under slight negative pressure, can the level reading provided by the gauge still be an accurate representation of the actual level once the negative pressure inside the tank decreases as a result of operational activities?
With upper and lower pressure tapping points, it is possible to measure using a differential pressure transmitter.

A single pressure measurement point will definitely be affected.
Thank you again for your guidance. I’ll try installing dual pressure transducers at the top to eliminate errors caused by pressure changes, after all, it’s not an open-container system.
It definitely can’t be measured properly; it needs to be redesigned

Reply to 1#: The pneumatic level gauge actually operates on the principle of differential pressure measurement; therefore, its transmitter is also of the differential pressure type. Generally, two measurement tubes are required (or a single measurement tube can be purchased, which appears to be one tube from the outside), to be inserted into the device; simultaneously, two current regulators are used to control the gas flow rate in these two tubes, so that only a small amount of bubbles emerge. Therefore, it doesn’t matter if there are minor pressure fluctuations inside the device. If the fluctuations are large, due to the limitations of the constant current driver and the differences in resistance on the high-voltage side and the low-voltage side, it should affect the measurements.
