How many flare valves are there at the compressor inlet on everyone’s catalytic units? Why are there two, one big and one small? For safety reasons, or to facilitate adjustment?
1. For safety reasons, an emergency shutdown of the compressor requires a thorough release of pressure in order to maintain equilibrium in the reaction pressure; Xiao Fang only performs such a release when the pressure is slightly high
There is only one penalty for placing a flare at our compressor inlet.
The large vent is used as an emergency vent, while the small vent is used for fine tuning
