I would like to ask the experts: what type of centrifugal pumps are used for transporting gas field water and condensate oil? What material should be chosen? Does the pump need insulation? Thank you!
A common horizontal centrifugal pump will do; the material choice depends on your components. For example, the carbon content, chloride content, hydrogen sulfide content in the dioxide tower, and so on; then materials are selected based on parameters such as pressure and temperature. As for whether insulation is needed, it depends on the local climate conditions and whether it is an outdoor or indoor installation, which then determines whether insulation is required.
I have another question: does the mechanical seal of the pump require external flushing?
I specialize in processes rather than machinery, so I’m not very familiar with the internal components of specific pumps. However, based on my work experience, few of the pumps used require flushing; mechanical seals generally do not need external flushing.
Actually, it’s better to choose a shielded pump to prevent medium leakage.
