Too low a flow rate of the liquid stream can cause blockages in the liquid flow pipelines; I’m not sure how to understand this Does anyone know?
In the absence of sulfur slurry impurities, as long as the pipeline is properly insulated, there is no risk of blockage due to slow flow rates. If impurities are present in liquid sulfur (such as catalyst powder, carbon, insoluble salts, rust, etc.), they tend to gradually accumulate and cause blockages. Normally, the system pressure can be slightly increased to promote the flow of liquid sulfur.
Pipeline blockage can occur when there are foreign objects, impurities in the liquid flow pipeline, or when the flow velocity inside the pipeline is too low; primarily, these solid substances can settle at the bottom of the pipeline due to gravity when the flow velocity is slow, accumulating there and causing blockage in the liquid flow pipeline.

If the heating is effective, with no areas where heating is insufficient and the temperature is sufficient, blockages generally do not occur. However, in actual production, there are often areas where heating is inadequate. In such cases, if the flow rate of liquid sulfur is too low, the temperature will drop significantly; once it falls below a certain level, the viscosity of the liquid sulfur increases, the flow resistance rises, and it may even solidify and block the pipes. Of course, high impurity content and low liquid sulfur flow rates make it most likely for deposits to accumulate at the bottom of the pipeline, causing blockages.
