I still haven’t figured out what linear velocity is. I’d like to ask: what is the linear velocity in a packed tower or a fixed-bed adsorber?
There is a linear velocity for the empty tower, which is determined by the feed rate (the volume of feed divided by the cross-sectional area of the tower). The linear velocity of a tower depends on its properties; I’m still looking for the specific parameters! ~
