Normal parking switch. The stopped chlorine compressor must be protected with nitrogen, oil quality analysis should be conducted, it should be run idle with nitrogen on a regular basis, and shaft vibration should be recorded.
Reply to 2# renzongkai: How to switch without shutting down the system
First, notify the control room, the electrolysis section, and the liquid chlorine section to pay attention to changes in chlorine pressure. When making the switch, notify the electrician first to check the backup chlorine compressor; then start the backup chlorine compressor before shutting down the faulty one. It is essential to pay attention to pressure regulation during this process, and after the switch is complete, monitor parameters such as the temperature and current of the operating chlorine compressor. Hope this helps. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! Before starting the standby unit, nitrogen needs to be filled in first; this nitrogen is then sent either for liquefaction or for exhaust gas treatment.
Reply to 5# Yongfeng: Our unit has never filled the chlorine compressor with nitrogen when switching it; the medium inside the chlorine compressor is chlorine, not hydrogen. So why fill it with nitrogen? Do you need to fill it with nitrogen? That’s so strange
Chlorine compressors’ manufacturers require that a certain pressure of nitrogen be introduced into the system before starting up

Our approach for switching turbines is as follows: verify the status of the valve to be started (inlet and outlet closed, return flow fully open, discharge closed, with all other valves in the condition suitable for startup); Open the outlet (at a low setting) to properly replace the air or nitrogen inside the compressor ; Start the compressor when it reaches approximately the first-stage outlet pressure target ; Gradually open the outlet valve fully; the outlet pressure rises to the system pressure ; Adjust the inlet pressure to be consistent with the inlet main pipe pressure ; Open import ; Switch the return flow, while gradually closing the inlet that is to be shut down ; After all the inlet valves are closed for shutdown (details omitted), this operation can be completed by two people – one on-site and one at the DCS – without any impact on the system.
Our outlet is equipped with a check valve, and your method of operation tends to cause surging in the unit
Do you mean using nitrogen to fill the machine before starting it? Here, we first start the machine, then add an appropriate amount of nitrogen, and finally shut it down
