Under normal circumstances, the coolant pressure is about 2 KG higher than that of the medium. If your coolant pressure is low. The seal at the medium side might be pushed open. It is recommended that you not change the original process, but instead find out the cause of the leak at the high-pressure end. The machine seals used in our factory are of the double-face, back-to-back type, and they come with separate sealing fluid tanks as well as magnetic pumps for circulation. Nitrogen is used to pressurize these sealing tanks, with a maximum pressure of 20 KG. Usually, within about 3 months of use, leaks start to occur at the dynamic and static rings on the atmosphere side (the sealing fluid is ionized water; if the leakage is severe, it needs to be replaced). However, the pressure inside the seal remains unchanged, meaning there is no leakage at the lower end face. This situation is quite problematic – replacing the seal takes a whole day, which is too time-consuming. Upon disassembly, it was found that the moving ring on the upper surface was worn; everything else was fine. The manufacturer of the materials for both the moving and stationary rings stated that they are made of silicon carbide. Please share your opinions and give some suggestions. Thanks!
