Fine chemical plants need to reduce VOC emissions. Now, we have a lot of bulk materials that are usually transported to the factory using tank trucks, and then at the unloading station in the factory, they are transferred into our solvent storage tanks through pipelines. During the unloading process, the solvent vapor in the solvent tank is pushed out of the tank as a result of this unloading, and thus the VOCs are released into the atmosphere directly through the breather valve. We plan to use a system that uses pipes to channel the VOCs, which would otherwise be released into the atmosphere, back into tankers, creating a closed system that effectively reduces VOC emissions. I wonder if anyone here has any relevant experience? Currently, most gas stations use vapor recovery systems, but it is not known whether similar systems can be used for solvents Thank you!
Steam can be discharged to a cold well via pipes; it doesn’t need to be very large. It’s possible to determine the size of the cold well required, and then return the steam to the tank
The tank roof can be connected to the vapor pipeline on the roof of the tank truck, so that during unloading, the vapor inside the tank enters the tank truck instead of being released directly into the atmosphere. Adding a nitrogen seal can also reduce VOC emissions.
