Fierce competition requires domestic dryer manufacturers to continuously improve their technology

　　 Dryer manufacturing enterprises are mainly located in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai, and Liaoning; these companies account for 50% of the total number of firms in the dryer industry. In contrast, there are some regions where no dryer manufacturers exist at all. In highly competitive industries such as dryers, many companies focus only on immediate results and do not consider the long term; they fail to systematically improve their capabilities, which slows down the development of the entire industry and severely hinders its proper progress. The drying equipment industry focuses on the development of small enterprises and new products, with the introduction of such products often being based on imitation of competitors. It is recommended to develop advanced technologies to improve product quality. Compared with those of developed countries around the world, China’s drying equipment technology still lags behind to some extent within the same industry. In the current market, products with low technical content dominate. With China’s accession to the WTO, more international competitors will enter the domestic market, and amid increasing international competition, we will face tremendous competitive pressure. World-leading dryers manufacturers, such as the Danish company Nilü Group and the Japanese company Otagahara, have established one after another branch offices in China in order to capture this market. As economic globalization accelerates, more companies will target the Chinese market. The increasing competition demands that we pursue continuous improvement within our companies, adopt advanced foreign technologies, innovate and enhance product quality. From product development to large-scale equipment production, we need to increase the level of automation, ensure high quality, use appropriate surface treatment methods, select corrosion-resistant materials, and develop multi-functional combined machines in order to extend the product life cycle further. As a result of the efforts by dryer industry associations to encourage companies to participate in international technical exchanges and to adopt the latest technologies, the entire industry is able to progress more rapidly and improve its technical standards.
